Studio News: Q4 2026— Galleon Dreaming, Carlessness, and a Cook’s Progress

The year isn’t done yet but I feel good in saying that it has been a fruitful 2026. As I get busier working through the high holidays of every denomination, I also find pockets of time to be productive in my own way. I’m happy to share that Dilim Press’s inaugural anthology, Galleon Dreaming, where my short story “Sagrada Bruja” (Holy Crone) is included, will be launching a Founders Edition on October 15, 2026. Below is an illustration for the cover by Raf Banzuela, and the front and back covers of the book. You can pre-order a copy of the book through Creatures of Kwento.

I’m also looking forward to publishing a piece of non-fiction called “CARLESS” for the Table Review, an indie literary magazine based in Brooklyn. It’s about cars and car culture, and how I’ve always disliked it. Another, “A Cook’s Progress”, which is an excerpt from a novel-in-progress, will be published in PR&TA (Practice, Research & Tangential Activities), a peer-reviewed and open-access journal based in Singapore. More on these works of pure entertainment, and news of them going live, soon. Hopefully.
